Practice Areas

Jamay is an associate in the Estate Planning, Tax and Fiduciary Abuse and Litigation sections. Jamay advises individuals and families on estate planning matters, including family trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and health care documents. She also assists clients with estate and trust administration.

Prior to joining the firm, Jamay worked at an estate planning and administration firm in Sacramento where she handled all aspects of estate planning, including initial consultations regarding wills, Probate Avoidance Trusts, ABC Trusts, and Trust funding. She also handled all aspects of estate administration on the first and second death, including notices to beneficiaries, allocation agreements, agreements to waive funding of the bypass trust, accountings and distributions.

Jamay has experience in providing beneficiary and trustee representation with regard to trust administration, preparation of Probate Code 17200 petitions, including making all related court appearances. She has been responsible for initial consultations in probate, conservatorship, and guardianship proceedings, preparation of petitions, court appearances, settling creditors’ claims, accountings and petitions for final distribution.

Jamay has handled estate and trust litigation matters, including will and trust contests, contested Probate Code 17200 petitions, beneficiary and trustee disputes, accounting issues, settlement conferences, drafting settlement agreements, discovery and mediation. Her experience includes contested conservatorship matters, preparation of pleadings, and all court appearances.

Jamay earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 2005. During law school, Jamay worked for a firm specializing in Social Security law where she successfully assisted claimants in obtaining Title II and Title XVI benefits under the Social Security Act.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and hiking.
