Practice Areas

Thadd is a shareholder in the firm's Litigation and Writs and Appeals groups. He has litigated extensively in California, New York and other jurisdictions. Thadd has handled many successful trials, arbitrations and appeals relating to complex civil matters. For example, he acted as counsel for the plaintiff in the case against Southern Pacific Railroad arising from the chemical spill in the Sacramento River and he defended multiple California wineries in an anti-trust action. He is also experienced in professional malpractice and attorney disciplinary proceedings. He currently emphasizes civil appeals in his case work.

Thadd has presented numerous legal seminars and authored many articles. He is frequently a panelist in presentations on appellate law. He was one of the first group of mediators trained by the Third District Court of Appeal in 2006 for its mediation program, and now acts as a mediator for the court selected civil appeals. In 2006-2007 he was on the Pacific McGeorge adjunct faculty for the Appellate Advocacy class. Thadd was an editor of the Pacific McGeorge Law Review in 1977-1978, and the New York University Journal of International Law and Politics in 1979-1980.
