Matt is an associate in the firm’s Corporate group.  Matt has represented both private and public clients in a wide variety of industries by advising on corporate transactions during all stages of the corporate lifecycle, including formation, early and late stage financings, initial public offerings, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, public reporting, governance and director duties.

Prior to joining Weintraub Tobin, Matt was an associate at two large global law firms in Northern California where he advised businesses in both domestic and international transactions of all sizes.  Matt received his J.D. with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2013.  Matt also received his M.B.A from the University of Texas’s Red McCombs School of Business in 2008 and his B.S. in Management with a finance emphasis cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2004.  Prior to law school, Matt worked in the mortgage-backed securities industry as well as an entrepreneur in a start-up company in Northern California.

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, sports, BBQ, the outdoors, gardening and traveling.
