United States District Court, Northern District of California
Michelle is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group. She has worked on projects in a variety of fields including labor and employment, tort defense, and contract and business disputes. Michelle received her J.D. from UC Berkeley Law School, Boalt Hall. While in law school Michelle served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Jon S. Tigar, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of California. Michelle also worked as a clinical student at the East Bay Community Law Center in their immigration practice group. During her summer she advocated for Alameda County seniors who were victims of physical and financial abuse at Legal Assistance for Seniors.
Michelle served as Publishing Editor and Associate Editor of Ecology Law Quarterly and Articles Editor and Student Note Editor of Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law. She received an award for the highest grade in her Legal Research and Writing course and the Prosser Award (second highest grade) in Legal Ethics.
Michelle received her B.A. from UC Berkeley, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Michelle received her M.A. from San Francisco State University with a Masters of Arts in Philosophy with a focus on ethics and philosophy of law. Outside of work, Michelle is politically engaged and enjoys watching baseball and classic movies.
