Experience
Hilary L. Lamar is a shareholder in the firm’s Trusts & Estates group. Hilary counsels individuals and businesses in all aspects of estate planning, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, health care documents, life insurance trusts, grantor trusts, charitable trusts, and family business entities such as limited liability companies and family limited partnerships. She works with clients to maximize multi-generational wealth transfer while minimizing estate, gift, property, and income tax exposure.
Hilary also represents individual and institutional executors, administrators, and trustees with respect to probate and trust administration, including preparation of, and defense of, federal estate tax returns.
Serving her community is one of the activities Hilary enjoys the most outside the office. She has lectured regularly for charitable organizations, and has served on the San Francisco chapter Advisory Committee to the American Heart Association, Advisors Committee to Sisters of the Holy Family, Advisors Committee to Hanna Boys Center, Board of Trustees of the Laurel School, and on the San Francisco Open Space Committee.
