Jeff R. R. Nelson is an associate in Weintraub Tobin’s Los Angeles office. He is a trial lawyer with broad experience successfully representing clients in the media and entertainment, video game, technology, real estate, banking and finance, food and hospitality, and telecommunications industries. He successfully advises and represents both plaintiffs and defendants in all manners of complex disputes including libel, intellectual property (copyright and trademark infringement), consumer class actions and multidistrict litigation (MDL), breach of contract, false advertising, fraud, and unfair competition in both federal and state courts. He also has litigated writ proceedings, conducted internal investigations, and assisted clients with regulatory compliance.

Jeff also is dedicated to pro bono projects. Jeff has advised on real estate as well as trust and estate matters for the Gary Sinise Foundation, a charitable organization that provides smart homes for America’s wounded veterans. He also has successfully represented multiple Honduran refugees and obtained legal immigration status for every client he has represented. Additionally, Jeff has served on a committee of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.

Jeff graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Prior to law school, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. While at UCLA, Jeff completed a semester abroad in Madrid where he studied international law in a full immersion program alongside Spanish students at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is conversant in Spanish.

Outside of the office, Jeff enjoys traveling the world, trying new restaurants, and snorkeling.
