Estate Planning Associate – California
Weintraub Tobin’s Trusts and Estates (T&E) Group is seeking a full-time associate with four to seven years of estate planning and trust and probate administration experience, including drafting of comprehensive estate plans (wills, revocable living trusts, and irrevocable trust instruments) and probate court documents. This position will also be expected to make appearances in probate court and will have the opportunity to directly participate in client relations. Tax knowledge is highly desired. The position is currently projected to be based out of the Firm’s Los Angeles, Sacramento, or San Francisco offices, but we will consider qualified candidates located elsewhere in California.
Our T&E attorneys are a well-established group with decades of collective experience. They focus on our clients’ personal concerns as well as their estate planning, tax, and litigation goals. Our T&E group is well-recognized for its probate, trust, and conservatorship administration and litigation services. Our estate planners have extensive experience with designing and implementing sophisticated estate and philanthropic planning techniques and working with clients to integrate their business succession planning. Our T&E attorneys represent beneficiaries, executors, corporate and individual trustees, as well as licensed professional fiduciaries throughout the state. They prepare estate tax and gift tax returns and consult regarding asset appraisals with support provided by our litigators who have extensive experience with litigating a wide range of T&E disputes, including challenging and defending the validity of wills and trusts, seeking and defending fiduciary removal, breach of fiduciary duty claims, elder financial abuse claims, conservatorships, and other contested and uncontested matters involving the administration of trusts and estates.
