As an associate in the Healthcare and Corporate practice groups, Aysha assists businesses with transactional matters.

Her practice focuses on serving healthcare-related clients as they navigate rules and requirements and helping them enter into successful agreements and ventures. With her foundation in the life sciences and direct experience working with health care providers, she approaches clients’ issues with a practical and solution-oriented approach.

Before joining Weintraub Tobin, Aysha participated in a Fellowship at a large academic health system. Having spent this time in-house, she appreciates the many varied legal and compliance questions on which hospital counsel must advise.

Aysha received her J.D. from U.C. Davis School of Law, where she took an active role in student activities. She served as president of the Health Law Association and executive editor for UC Davis’ environmental law journal Environs. Aysha also represented her law school in interschool Negotiation and Mock Trial competitions. During her final year of law school, Aysha served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Troy L. Nunley, Federal Court Judge in the Eastern District of California.

Aysha received her B.S. in Genetics and Microbiology from Iowa State University. During this time, she performed scientific research in reproductive toxicology, assisted in teaching a laboratory class, and volunteered in hospice care. Following graduation, she worked as a medical scribe in a children’s hospital.

In her free time, Aysha enjoys horseback riding and playing board games.
