Weintraub Tobin is pleased to welcome Susan Roberts as an associate in the Firm’s Entertainment and Media practice group, where she focuses on digital media, entertainment, defamation, privacy, and intellectual property.
Susan Roberts is an associate in the Firm’s Entertainment and Media group.
Susan received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Tulane University Law School in 2021. At Tulane Law, she was President of the Entertainment & Art Law Society, and a student-attorney with Tulane’s First Amendment Law Clinic. Susan served as Senior Managing Editor of the Sports Lawyers Association’s Sports Lawyers Journal. She was VP of Communications of the Tulane Sports Law Society and represented the organization as a semi-finalist in national NFL and NBA negotiation competitions.
Prior to joining Weintraub Tobin, Susan practiced media and entertainment litigation at Harder LLP and served as Counsel for Business and Legal Affairs at The Fourth Floor, a networking community supporting women executives based in New York.
Susan has always lived a service-centered life and promoted her personal social impact initiative focused on child advocacy and socio-economic justice on both the state and national level through participation with the Miss America Organization. She served as Miss South Carolina 2017, placing Top 10 & winning several prestigious service-related scholarships at the Miss America Competition. Susan is also an accomplished ballerina, having attending Houston Ballet Academy boarding school for high school. She represented the United States in international ballet competitions, including the Prix de Lausanne and Helsinki International Ballet Competition.
In her free time, Susan enjoys attending music festivals and concerts, playing video games, pretending like she’s on a cooking competition show with her family, and spending time with her Great Dane named Gus.
