The awards were presented at Bower’s Museum on Thursday, June 23, 2016, and included recognition from the City Council of Santa Ana, Rep. Lorretta Sanchez (46th Dist.), Sen. Weintraub Tobin and Jessica Marlow Recognized in Sacramento Bee’s “Sacramento’s ‘hometown heroes’ learn to navigate global fame”

Weintraub Tobin and Jessica Marlow were recognized in Sacramento Bee’s “Sacramento’s ‘hometown heroes’ learn to navigate global fame” for its and her pro bono work for Sacramento’s hometown heroes.

“…After his office was flooded with requests for tributes, interviews or appearances featuring the local heroes, Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson reached out to a renowned public affairs consultant and a major California law firm to help the trio face what was coming.

“Aaron McLear, founding partner of Redwood Pacific Public Affairs in Sacramento and a former press secretary for former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, took on the assignment pro bono. So did the law firm of Weintraub Tobin, which has offices in Sacramento, San Francisco and other California cities.

“When ABC’s Dancing with the Stars came calling for Skarlatos, Weintraub Tobin made available its Beverly Hills entertainment lawyer, Jessica Marlow, to handle the contract negotiations in time for him to learn dance steps for his appearance on the show’s season opener last week…”

Chris Chediak named 2014 ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for Corporate Law

Sacramento, California – Weintraub Tobin Chediak Coleman Grodin, a business law and litigation firm, announces that Chris Chediak has been named Northern California’s Lawyer of the Year in Corporate Law for 2014 by Best Lawyers in America®. Four attorneys named “Top Rated Lawyer” in Trust and Estates Law

Congratulations to Kay Brooks, Janet Chediak, Ed Corey and Hilary L. Lamar, all of whom have been selected as a 2013 “Top Rated Lawyer” in Trust and Estates Law by the national attorney-ranking service Martindale-Hubbell.

The attorneys received this prestigious honor after receiving an “AV Preeminent” review rating on Martindale-Hubbell from his attorney peers. The AV Preeminent rating is the highest possible rating in legal ability and ethical standards. For this designation, the attorneys are featured in the July 2013 issue of the American Lawyer & Corporate Counsel Magazine.

Kay is certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. Weintraub Tobin office space wins “Tenant Improvement of the Year”

Weintraub Tobin Chediak Coleman Grodin has won “Tenant Improvement of the Year” in the Sacramento Business Journal’s Real Estate Projects competition.

The office remodel for Sacramento’s second largest law firm was lauded by judges for its “energy.” Said one judge: “The design was done tastefully and professionally for a law office, but they had the right dash of pizzazz.”
