Weintraub Genshlea Chediak, a Sacramento-based business law and business litigation firm, represented NutraCea, a world leader in stabilized rice bran or SRB, technology and nutrient research, based in Phoenix, Arizona, with the agreements to sell securities to selected institutional investors for approximately $20 million.
The offering was made pursuant to the Form S-3 shelf registration filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). NutraCea expects to utilize the net proceeds for general corporate operations, working capital for future acquisitions, and strategic investments opportunities. Shareholders Chris Chediak and associate Mike De Angelis of the firm’s corporate and securities group, assisted NutraCea with the securities offerings and SEC filing.
