SACRAMENTO (July 6, 2016) – Weintraub Tobin, one of California’s leading, full-service law firms, is pleased to announce that Shauna N. Correia and Gary D. Rothstein have been promoted to shareholder. The attorney group represents clients in a range of practice areas and industry sectors.
Shauna Correia is a shareholder in the firm’s San Francisco office. She is an accomplished negotiator and experienced trial attorney. Shauna represents businesses in a broad range of litigation matters in both California and Nevada. Many of Shauna’s clients also rely on her for her advisory and risk-management capacities, and her ability to find ways to reduce exposure or avoid litigation. She defends employers against alleged civil rights, tort, contract, and statutory violations, including discrimination and retaliation under Title VII and the FEHA, wage and hour, PAGA, and wrongful discharge claims under federal and state laws. Her other areas of specialty include contract negotiation and disputes, protection of intellectual property rights, and defense of products liability claims.
Gary Rothstein is a shareholder in the firm’s Trust and Estates group. Gary’s practice has focused on trust administration, probate matters, and estate planning since 1993. A significant portion of his practice consists of representing corporate and individual fiduciaries and beneficiaries in all aspects of trust administration, ranging from initial funding of trusts to representing clients in Probate Court, in connection with disputes between fiduciaries, beneficiaries and creditors. Gary counsels numerous fiduciaries, beneficiaries and creditors through all phases of contested and uncontested probate and trust administration proceedings in Northern and Southern California Probate Courts, including prosecution of will and trust contests, and preparation and arguing of petitions for instructions, petitions for construction of trusts, and petitions for termination of trusts
