Salem & Green to Merge with Weintraub Tobin

Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2022, healthcare and business law firm Salem & Green will merge with and into the Weintraub firm. Sacramento-based attorneys Julie E. Green, Christopher F. Anderson, and Jeanne L. Vance will join Weintraub’s Corporate Group.

Founded in 1999, Salem & Green is well-known for its expertise in business and regulatory healthcare law, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. Their healthcare clients reflect a broad spectrum of entities and their investors, such as health systems, medical foundations, independent practice associations, surgery centers, behavioral health providers, home health providers, durable medical equipment suppliers and private equity/venture capital investors in various healthcare niches. Salem & Green attorneys often serve as general counsel/transactional counsel/healthcare regulatory counsel to startups, established businesses (including non-healthcare businesses) or private or public consolidators of various healthcare providers. In addition, to serving healthcare clients, all of the Salem & Green attorneys are experienced mergers & acquisition and transactional business attorneys.

“Salem & Green has a stellar reputation in the healthcare and business law fields, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome these outstanding attorneys to Weintraub,” said Managing Shareholder Gary Bradus. “In addition to their nationally-recognized healthcare practices, their strengths in business law are an ideal addition to our Corporate Group.”

“We look forward to joining the premier business law practice in Sacramento,” said Salem & Green President Chris Anderson. “Weintraub’s comprehensive business and tax law practice, deep knowledge of venture capital and private equity players and deal terms and statewide presence will allow us to provide a greater range of services and deal insights to our current and future clients.”

The Weintraub Corporate Group has had a record year in 2021, with M&A transactions in the billions and commercial loans of over $1 billion.  Led by Chris Chediak, Jim Clarke, and Bradus, the Corporate team—Sacramento’s largest—provides comprehensive business law services, assisting clients with their financial, operational, and tax law needs. Joining Weintraub reunites Green, Anderson, and Clarke who all practiced together at another Sacramento firm in the 1990s.
