Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that shareholder Kay U. Brooks has been selected to the Board of Trustees for the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation.
The Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation is a separately incorporated, community-benefit nonprofit organization. As a trustee, Kay will serve on the SRMCF Board alongside other dedicated community leaders to help guide and lead the Foundation as it raises funds for a wide variety of initiatives that build and sustain healthy communities, enhance patient care, and help meet the growing needs of our local communities.
“The programs supported by the SRMCF go far beyond the walls of clinics and hospitals,” said Kay, “from advanced cancer research working to improve accuracy and effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment, to residency programs aimed to help resolve the significant shortage of physicians in Placer County and the greater Sacramento region. I’m excited to be partnering with a foundation that has such a positive impact on the health and wellness of our communities.”
A shareholder in Weintraub’s Trusts & Estates practice group, Kay has advised individuals and families on all aspects of estate and tax planning for over 28 years. Kay is a previous President of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council and was a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization for over 20 years. Her practice is now focused on sharing her expertise with professional and charitable organizations while winding down her estate planning practice.
Kay begins her term on the SRMCF Board in 2024 and serves as the Chair of SRMCF’s Gift Planning Committee, where she has been a member since 2021. Gift planning with SRMCF allows individuals to contribute gifts to the initiative of their choice as part of their estate plan.
