Weintraub Tobin is pleased to welcome Mario Turner as an associate to the Firm’s Healthcare Group, where he counsels healthcare organizations and businesses on complex regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters. Mario advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters involving licensing, contracting, policies and procedures, and acquisition, as well as issues involving Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, and healthcare antitrust laws.
He has significant experience on Knox-Keene Act (licensed health care service plans and insurance) regulatory matters, including provisions involving provider contracting requirements under the Knox-Keene Act. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked in health plan regulation at the California Department of Managed Health Care.
