Caroline M. Korpiel is an Associate in the Firm’s Entertainment practice group.
Caroline assists clients in a wide spectrum of entertainment and intellectual property matters.
Caroline earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law. As a student, Caroline participated in the Documentary Film Legal Clinic where she advised filmmakers on various intellectual property issues, including fair use, clearance of rights, rights of publicity, and defamation, as well as drafted and negotiated a wide variety of contracts, including agreements to secure content, talent and other personnel. She also served as Submission Editor for the UCLA Entertainment Law Review and volunteered at El Centro Naturalization Clinic where she helped prepare applications for US citizenship.
Prior to moving to the United States, Caroline was a trainee in the Media and Entertainment Department of a prominent law firm in Paris, France where she negotiated and drafted (in both French and English) various contracts regarding production, distribution, and exploitation of feature films, animated and live TV series, music, and documentaries. She is admitted to both the Paris Bar and the California Bar. She is fluent in French.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys going to the movies, baking, and doing yoga.
