Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that Madeline C. Giles has joined the Trusts and Estates Section Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association – or TEXCOM – as New Lawyers Section Liaison.
Madeline is an associate in the Firm’s Trusts & Estates practice group, where she litigates contested conservatorships and estate and trust administrations. She represents conservators, beneficiaries, trustees (including fiduciaries), among other interested parties, from both plaintiff and defense sides.
Comprised of 38 attorneys, TEXCOM works to advance the practice of trusts and estates law in California by educating attorneys, promoting scholarship, and improving our statutes through the legislative process. As New Lawyers Section Liaison, Madeline will be tasked with reviewing proposed legislation going through the California Legislature, contributing to the debate among TEXCOM members on the legislation’s applicability to trusts and estates law, discussing legislation further in assigned committees, and proposing modifications to proposed legislation based on my experience in litigation.
