Mario Turner is an associate in the Firm’s Healthcare Group, where he counsels healthcare organizations and businesses on complex regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters.
Mario advises clients on regulatory and compliance matters involving licensing, contracting, policies and procedures, acquisitions, and litigation, as well as issues involving Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, and healthcare antitrust laws. He has significant experience on Knox-Keene Act (licensed health care service plans and insurance) regulatory matters, including provisions involving provider contracting requirements under the Knox-Keene Act. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked in health plan regulation at the California Department of Managed Health Care.
Mario works closely with healthcare providers, health plans, and other healthcare organizations to help them navigate evolving legal and business challenges and develop practical solutions to complex regulatory issues.
Outside of his legal practice, Mario is a passionate Sacramento Kings fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends, and his four dogs.
