Anders is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate group, where he focuses his practice on assisting local entrepreneurs, small businesses, and large companies alike as they navigate and avoid the legal and financial challenges they face in today’s business climate.

Whether the transaction involves business formation & dissolution, contract drafting, negotiations, mergers & acquisitions, sales, internal governance, or joint ventures, Anders works with his clients to identify and understand the issues that matter most to their business and navigate the transaction to an efficient and favorable result.

Experience

Anders first joined Weintraub Tobin during law school as a summer associate. After graduating law school, he spent the first two years of his practice in business litigation experiencing firsthand the importance of clear and concise agreements. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Anders litigated and won multiple commercial lease disputes for his clients, which often hinged on the interpretation of oft-neglected provisions. Additionally, Anders assisted his clients in litigating and settling disputes regarding purchase and sale agreements, service contracts, CC&R interpretations, corporate governance, entity dissolution, and intellectual property.

Anders received his Juris Doctor from nationally-ranked U.C. Davis Law School, where he served in leadership roles as a Vice President of the King Hall International Law Association and as a research editor for the Journal of International Law and Policy. He also sharpened his negotiation and deal-making skills competing in the UCLA Transactional Law Competition.

As an undergraduate at Brigham Young University, Anders studied economics and business. He simultaneously applied his education by founding and operating a media development company that helped its business clients deliver online educational content to employees and customers.  Anders learned the value of diverse perspectives and backgrounds while volunteering in Brazil for over two years. Anders spent four months in São Paulo teaching career-building skills such as résumé writing and interviewing, and two years in Porto Alegre as a missionary.

Personal Life

Outside of the office, Anders enjoys spending his time outdoors, exploring the geography of the Northern California landscape with his wife and daughter. He loves learning about new cultures and traveling to new places, and he rarely misses an opportunity to practice his Portuguese language skills.
