  • Represented a hospital group in a dispute with a major health plan over reimbursement for emergency services provided to the plan’s members. After several years of complex litigation in state trial and appellate courts, the matter was moved to binding arbitration.
  • Represented a hospital group in a dispute with a local hospital district regarding the district’s breach of contract over the acquisition of a hospital and the construction of a new hospital within the district. Scott helped in prevailing on appeal following judgment in the client’s favor in state court.

Both cases were dismissed on motions, and the dismissals were upheld on appeal to the Ninth Circuit.
