WT Deals: AGC Studios’ Biopic ‘Giant’ Signs On Pierce Brosnan, Amir El-Masry, and Sylvester Stallone to Executive Produce

Pierce Brosnan and Amir El-Masry are set to star in the upcoming sports drama “Giant,” based on the true story of British-Yemeni boxer Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed and his journey to becoming a world champion. Brosnan will portray Hamed’s Irish-born boxing trainer, Brendan Ingle, while El-Masry takes on the role of Hamed himself.

Written and directed by Rowan Athale, the film is produced by Mark Lane of Tea Shop Productions and Kevin Sampson of White Star Productions. AGC Studios and BondIt Media Capital are financing the project. Executive producers include Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood of Balboa Productions, Miguel Palos, Zach Garrett, and Anant Tamirisa of AGC Studios, Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, and Tyler Gould of BondIt, Michael Ewing, and Zygi Kamasa of True Brit Entertainment. “Giant” is set to begin filming in Leeds, England, in late April.

Weintraub shareholders Alan Grodin and Tara Sattler represent AGC Studios.
