Weintraub Attorneys Recognized on the 2024 Southern California Rising Stars List

Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that Tara Sattler, Shaun Gordon, Jamie Lincenberg, and Kavan Jeppson have been selected to the 2024 Southern California Rising Stars® list. This list, compiled by Super Lawyers®, recognizes attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or have been in practice less than 10 years. Each year only about 2.5 percent of California attorneys are chosen for this honor.

Tara Sattler is a Weintraub shareholder and serves as the Firm’s Marketing Shareholder. A member of the Firm’s leading Entertainment & Media group, she focuses her practice on representing production companies, producers, financiers, and content creators in the film, television, and multi-media spaces. Tara’s extensive experience includes award-winning films such as “CODA” (Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor Oscars 2022) and “Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street” (Emmy Award for Outstanding Arts and Culture Documentary, 2022), as well as advising on multi-media new platforms such as the mental health-oriented digital media platform Wondermind.

Shaun Gordon is a Weintraub shareholder and member of the Firm’s Entertainment & Media group, where his practice encompasses film, television, podcasts, and new media. Shaun represents creators and producers across digital media and podcasts, as well as authors, actors, writers, and producers in all areas of the industry, including film and television. He was named to Variety’s 2023 Legal Impact Report, along with Tara Sattler and Jamie Lincenberg, highlighting their groundbreaking work in film, television, and digital formats and especially in the audio space.

Jamie Lincenberg is an associate in the Firm’s Entertainment & Media group, where she represents a wide variety of talent including writers, directors and actors in scripted television and film projects as well as digital content creators on transactions across various digital verticals, including high-level brand collaborations, podcasts, and partnerships. In addition, Jamie works closely with television and film productions on all of their legal needs from the early stages of development through production and distribution.

Kavan Jeppson is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation practice group, where he focuses his practice on business and entertainment litigation. Kavan has experience in all phases of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial. Kavan’s litigation experience has included cases involving breach of contract, franchisor/franchisee disputes, intellectual property disputes, real estate disputes, and partnership dissolutions and accountings.
