Jessica Marlow and Shaun Gordon Named to Variety’s 2025 Dealmakers List 

Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that partners Jessica Marlow and Shaun Gordon have been selected as a featured duo in Variety’s Dealmakers 2025 list, which highlights attorneys, executives, agents, and financiers behind many of the year’s most impactful entertainment transactions. 

Jessica and Shaun advise a broad mix of clients across digital media, podcasts, film, television, and branded entertainment. Their practices include advising major talent, production companies, studios and financiers on development, production, licensing, distribution, brand deals, publishing and rights-related matters.

Jessica Marlow is a partner in Weintraub’s Entertainment & Media practice group and also serves as a member of the Firm’s Board of Directors. Jessica represents a diverse roster of high-profile content creators across both digital and traditional platforms, from film, television, and publishing to podcast, brand partnerships, touring, and expansion into stand-alone media companies. With deep industry relationships and experience spanning emerging and conventional platforms, she specializes in helping her dynamic clients build multi-dimensional careers by negotiating complex deals with major platforms, studios, networks, distribution channels, and brands. Her clients include the powerhouse sister duo Claudia and Jackie Oshry, hosts of the chart-topping podcast The Toast, whom she guided through a major three-year renewal with Dear Media. Jessica also counsels leading content creator Remi Cruz, co-host of the hit podcast Pretty Basic, on her media and brand partnerships. 

Shaun Gordon, also a partner in the Firm’s Entertainment & Media practice group, represents some of the leading creators in podcasting and digital media. Shaun advises Caleb Pressley, host of the hit series Sundae Conversation, in various matters, including sponsorships, touring, products, and series. Shaun serves as counsel to Alex Cooper and her media company Unwell (which she leads alongside Matt Kaplan), including negotiating podcast agreements and agreements for Unwell’s events, tours, productions, and partnerships. Shaun’s client list also includes Guy Raz, creator and host of How I Built This (NPR/Amazon); and MrBallen, the former Navy SEAL whose storytelling podcast has built a massive following.
