  • When: Oct 16, 2026 02:30 pm PDT - 03:30 pm PDT
  • Where: Hyatt Regency Seattle 808 Howell Street Seattle, WA 98101

On Friday, October 16, 2026, Weintraub shareholders and employment attorneys Lizbeth “Beth” West and Meagan Bainbridge will present at the 2026 AWI Annual Conference on “Investigating an Employee’s Off-Duty Conduct and Social Media Presence: Is it Legal? If So, is it Smart?”

They will join Don Vilfer from Digital Evidence Ventures for a panel on day three of the event. With social media blurring the lines between personal and professional identities, off-duty conduct has never been more visible. This panel will discuss the legal, practical, and reputational risks and challenges employers face, and the constraints investigators must consider, when investigating an employee’s off-duty conduct and social media activity.

The Association of Workplace Investigators 2026 Annual Conference runs from October 15 -16, 2026, in Seattle, Washington. The event will feature learning experiences for investigators and offer networking opportunities.
