Kassy Schuenke

Experience

Kassy is an associate in the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group, representing businesses, investors, and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance, and intellectual property matters.

Kassy represents clients throughout the entire business lifecycle, from entity formation and organizational matters to complex strategic transactions and exit events. Her practice focuses on buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, financing transactions, corporate governance, commercial contracting, and intellectual property matters. Kassy regularly advises companies at varying stages of growth on day-to-day business operations, corporate structure, risk management, and transaction strategy, helping clients navigate sophisticated legal and business challenges while advancing their long-term objectives. 

Kassy has extensive experience managing and executing transactions from inception through closing. She has served as lead associate on mergers and acquisitions transactions, overseeing due diligence, drafting and negotiating primary and ancillary transaction documents, coordinating deal teams, and managing post-closing obligations. In addition, she advises clients on private equity and venture capital transactions, incentive compensation and equity plans, restructuring matters, securities filings, intellectual property portfolio management, and commercial agreements. 

Prior to joining Weintraub, Kassy practiced in the Corporate, Intellectual Property, and Mergers & Acquisitions practice groups at law firms in New Jersey and New York, where she represented private companies, investors, and emerging growth businesses across a broad range of industries. 

Outside of her legal work, Kassy enjoys standup comedy and has even travelled internationally for shows.
