Creators and Weintraub clients Chris Olsen and Ms Rachel were winners at the 13th Annual Streamy Awards. Chris Olsen, a social media and TikTok star, won the Short Form Category. Ms Rachel, a YouTube creator with a highly successful learning channel for toddlers, won in the Kids and Family category.

The series was co-written and co-created by Weintraub client Matthew Derby, and follows a pair of expecting parents as they navigate the struggles of life and marriage in a new town.

On July 24, 2023, the United States Patent and Trademark Office changed its procedures for the PTO Director’s review of certain decisions by the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The decisions in question are those decisions of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to deny or grant petitions to institute proceedings under the America Invents Act. Those proceedings include inter partes review and post grant review. This change follows two years of an interim process and public comment period.

The popular podcast series Moriarty: The Silent Order, set in the Sherlock Holmes universe, has announced a lineup of new actors joining the show for its second season. On August 12th, the Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada Chapter of Make-A-Wish hosted its 2023 Make-A-Wish® Poker Tournament, celebrating 40 years of granting wishes for children with critical illnesses. This year’s event raised more than $135,000 to support kids in the greater Sacramento area.
