Weintraub client Simon Kent Fung’s true crime podcast “Dear Alana” has been released, and is available to stream on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all other podcast platforms. Created by Simon and produced with Tenderfoot TV, the podcast is about the life and tragic death of devout youth Alana Chen, whose aspiration to become a nun led her to conversion therapy.

Brendan Begley recently prevailed in the First Appellate District by convincing that court to reject one of its own published opinions in denying a motion to dismiss our clients’ appeal and then to spurn four published decisions from other appellate courts that would have subjected our clients’ appeal to a dooming standard of review. Enabled by the favorable standard of review, the Court of Appeal agreed that the trial court had erred and reversed the unfavorable judgment in this trust dispute.
