WT Clients: Filmmaker Jon Gunn Named Head of Story for The Wonder Project

Weintraub client and filmmaker Jon Gunn has been tapped to oversee story development for the independent faith-based studio The Wonder Project. In addition to overseeing story development for the studio’s growing film and television programming, he will also serve as executive producer and occasional co-director for House of David – TWP’s sweeping Biblical drama series for Prime Video.

Lizbeth “Beth” West to Mentor at the Sacramento Business Journal’s 2024 Mentoring Monday Event

Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that Lizbeth “Beth” West has been selected by the Sacramento Business Journal to serve as a mentor at their 11th Annual Mentoring Monday.

The event, held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Sierra College Campus Center, provides opportunities for attendees to network and partake in rounds of speed-mentoring, where they can gain valuable advice and constructive feedback from fellow businesswomen. Beth joins the panel of some of the region’s most influential businesswomen in the Sacramento community.

WT Clients: Toy Line to be Launched Based on Hit Tinkercast Kids Podcast Co-Hosted by Guy Raz

Amazon podcast studio Wondery is partnering up with toy makers Thames & Kosmos to release a new toy line based on the hit Tinkercast kids podcast, Wow in the World.

The toy line, set to release this fall, will include seven STEM-focused toys for kids ages four and up. It will be the first toy line based on a podcast from the Amazon studio and the first for the Wondery Kids + Family Network of shows. The toys will be accompanied by exclusive audio content from the podcast co-hosts, Guy Raz and Mindy Thomas.

Weintraub Tobin Names Jennel Fernandez as Chief Administrative Officer

Weintraub Tobin is pleased to announce that Jennel Fernandez has been named Chief Administrative Officer of the Firm. As CAO, Jennel will dedicate her time, skills, and experience to improving firmwide operational efficiency and to supporting the leadership priorities of the Firm’s Managing Board. An eleven-year member of Weintraub’s administrative team, Jennel most recently served as Director of Human Resources.
