The month of April marks four months in the realm of the new Corporate Transparency Act, signifying deadlines for companies formed this year to adhere to the 90-day window for filing their beneficial ownership reports with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”). For companies formed in January, those deadlines are the month.

Pierce Brosnan and Amir El-Masry are set to star in the upcoming sports drama “Giant,” based on the true story of British-Yemeni boxer Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed and his journey to becoming a world champion. Brosnan will portray Hamed’s Irish-born boxing trainer, Brendan Ingle, while El-Masry takes on the role of Hamed himself.

Each year, no more than five percent of lawyers in the state are selected to receive this honor by the research team at Super Lawyers. Paul Giamatti’s “Chinwag“ with Stephen Asma from Treefort Media has been nominated for a 2024 Webby Award for Best Series, Features (Podcasts).
The 28th annual Webby Awards are set to honor the best of the internet. The awards cover an array of categories, including overall website design, video content, advertising, media and PR campaigns, apps and software, social media presence, podcasts, games, AI, metaverse, and virtual experiences. Nominees are picked by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. Winners will be announced on April 23rd, with a ceremony hosted by Amber Ruffin on May 13th in New York City. Viewers can catch highlights, including the famous five-word acceptance speeches, on @TheWebbyAwards Instagram and TikTok.

Vault Comics’ “Heist: Or, How to Steal a Planet,” a science fiction crime thriller, is set to be adapted by Confidential Films. Filmmaker Justin Simien is set to direct the film, with writer Christopher Yost joining him for the project. The movie will be produced by Confluential Films’ Tommy Oliver and Wayne Horton, and executive produced by Vault Comic’s Damian Wassel and F.J. DeSanto.
