The Dark Horse comic book series Lady Danger, written by Weintraub client Alex de Campi, is set to be adapted into a new animated series for Amazon Freevee. The series will star Nicki Minaj in the lead role. Minaj will also executive produce the series, along with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson under his G-Unit Film & TV banner, Brian Sher, and Paul Young & Mike Griffin for Make Good Content.

On February 22, 2023, Ryan Abernethy secured a demurrer as to all causes of action in a consumer class action that was brought on behalf of all those who purchased services from our client. The court found that the complaint failed to articulate a cognizable theory of liability that could be brought on a class-wide basis because individualized inquiries would dominate the fraud-related class claims.

In its official announcement earlier this week, Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation confirmed that Weintraub client Walt Dohrn (Trolls, Trolls World Tour) has returned as director in the third installment of the animated musical franchise Trolls.
