Practice Areas
Dave practices in the firm’s Real Estate and Corporate groups. Dave has over twenty-two years experience representing publicly-and-privately-owned commercial lenders, developers and investors. Dave’s practice includes entity formation for public and private owners investors, such as partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations; real estate and corporate asset-based financings, workouts and restructurings, purchase and sale of businesses and real estate; and leasing.
Dave was selected for inclusion in Northern California SuperLawyers for 2004 and 2005.
Representative Matters
Represents a privately owned developer of office parks and retail centers in connection with the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of substantial projects in Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom and Rancho Cordova.
Represents the Sacramento Kings in connection with financing secured by Arco Arena and short term and intermediate term loans arranged by an NBA-sponsored credit facility.
Represented CalPERS in connection with the acquisition and development of its headquarters expansion on Q Street in Sacramento and other real estate investments, partnerships and financings.
Represented CalSTRS in connection with the acquisition and development of its new headquarters building in West Sacramento.
Negotiated a construction loan and take out commitment obtained by the developer of a 25-story office tower in Sacramento and handles leasing and property management issues for this and other projects owned by the developer.
Represented recycling company that financed the acquisition and rehabilitation of a recycling facility with the proceeds of bonds issued by the California Pollution Control Financing Authority, in addition to a letter of credit, term loan and working capital credit facilities provided by a commercial bank.
Represents institutional lenders and borrowers in a variety of commercial lending transactions such as construction loans, permanent loans, letter of credit issuances and loans secured by inventory, receivables and other personal and real property. Also represents lenders in loan workouts, restructurings and enforcement actions.
