Jon is a recent addition to the firm’s Corporate group, where he helps companies and individuals in a wide range of corporate and transactional matters. This includes corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, reorganization, financing, entity formation, privacy, and securities matters.
Jon received his J.D. from UC Berkeley Law (formerly known as Boalt Hall), where he was a teaching assistant in the legal writing program, and served on the staffs of the Berkeley Journal of Criminal Law and Ecology Law Quarterly. He also volunteered with the Workers Rights Disability Law Clinic and competed in the Spring 2015 Halloum Negotiations Competition. In his first summer, Jon interned at the California Attorney General’s Office with the Land and Natural Resources sections, where he assisted in business and real property litigation matters. In his third year, he externed at the Office of the General Counsel for the United States Department of Agriculture, helping attorneys advise client agencies on UCC Article 9 and real estate secured transactions, and preparing financing and closing documents for multi-family housing projects, part of USDA Rural Development’s $220 billion loan portfolio.
During and after undergrad, Jon volunteered extensively with Bet Tzedek Legal Services in Los Angeles, running clinics and trainings in courthouses across the County, where he helped hundreds of low income families obtain conservatorships for disabled adults. He received his B.S. in Music Industry from the University of Southern California, where he performed with ensembles in the Thornton School of Music and the Spirit of Troy: “The Greatest Marching Band in the History of the Universe.”
When he’s not in the office, Jon enjoys hiking and fishing, music, and following USC football.
